The Birth of a Book - Blog post share

    I was doing some reading online and found this; Birth of a Book. I thought it was worth sharing and rather funny. Funny but true. Don't get discouraged, just know that it can be a tough road ahead getting from idea to finished product.

This is a Perfect example of why you must not only backup, and back up often, but if at all possible have a third copy (a hard copy or digital - or both) of any important files.

• 82,571 files (30GB) down to 8,006 files (1.07GB)

• Organization of the Merger folder.
• Starting Version Control and GIT post and setup.

    IT'S DONE!!   I finished the Main folder! I have 3,113 files in the Secondary folder that need sorting but that actually can't be done until I get the Main folder reorganized. But I'm actually at the point where I can organize the main folder. When done with that I can create a new files set and actually start on the creative process again.

• From 1,435 down to 635 files left in the most important folder (singular) to sort.

    Omg it's been almost TWO MONTHS since I have actually sat down in front of my computer for more than a few seconds. Today should see some progress as I am working from the hubby's office today. I had, posted optimistically in April thinking that we were much closer to being done than we were with the housing situation. Was I wrong. We're still not done. But bodies, children and moms can only take so much for so long. So today I take a break from the physical and work on the digital.


Today's Goals - 05/13/12

• Resuming whittling away at the 1,435 files left in the most important folders to sort. There's light at the end of this tunnel, can I reach it today?
